Dr Fois offers clinical consultations for neurological conditions, including headache/migraine, Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia, epilepsy, and stroke.

Dr Fois believes that distance should not be a barrier to getting neurological care and that video conferencing technology is a powerful tool in reaching that goal. He provides telehealth consultations and is happy to review referrals for new patients who would like to be seen via telehealth.
Dr Alex Fois is an experienced neurologist based in Sydney and practices at Harbour Neurology Group (North Sydney), Macquarie University Hospital, and Fraser Coast Neurology (Hervey Bay, Queensland). Dr Fois has a subspecialty interest and training in movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia, and in the injection of botulinum toxin for the treatment of neurological symptoms. He is passionate about using telehealth to extend the reach of neurological care in Australia and sees patients from all over Australia.
Dr Fois graduated Dux of Sydney Grammar School with a UAI of 100 and completed his first degree in Advanced Science at the University of Sydney, graduating with the University Medal. He then travelled to Oxford University for his medical degree and has completed his postgraduate training in Cambridge (Addenbrooke’s Hospital) and Sydney (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and Westmead Hospital).
He has completed the Movement Disorders Fellowship at Westmead Hospital and completed a PhD funded by a grant from the Brain Foundation and an NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship. His research is focused on tremor, and he has authored several publications and book chapters on the subject of tremor and movement disorders.
Dr Fois is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN).
